Sanliurfa
Sanliurfa, formerly known as Urfa, is a province and the ninth most populous city of Turkey. As of 2013, it has a population of 1,801,980. It borders with Mardin in the east, Gaziantep in the west, Adiyaman in the north, Diyarbakir provinces in the northeast and Syria in the south. The old names of the city are Ur, Urhoy, Urhei, Orhei, Orhayi, Ruhai, Ruhha, Ar-Ruha, Reha and Edessa.
